Woodland Creatures Take Over WEG Cross-Country

The World Equestrian Games cross-country course is challenging and tough as you might expect for a four-star course that welcomes the greatest event riders of our time.  But it’s also playful, artistic, and cheery.  Meet some woodland creatures who your favorite event riders will be spending time with on tomorrow’s cross-country course.

You know how I’m partial to fat ponies so this chubby squirrel captured my heart right away.  I quite like how his little friend is a snail.  How creative!

This Heron is just a small detail at the first water fence.  That’s a good example of how beautiful this course is.  Every detail is attended to!

Another detail, only much larger and taking center stage!

This is the out from the first water combination.  I think Kingfishers are fascinating birds and I love that the artist including every detail including his little snack.

The cross-country course is lovely from start to finish and feels not only like an impressive four-star course but also like a work of art. What an excellent combination.
