Wednesday Giveaway with Nunn Finer!
Don’t you love a giveaway? Today’s giveaway comes from Nunn Finer and is perfect for us eventers. It’s the brand-new Ultra No-Slip Pad and will make sure nothing goes a-slippin’ or a-slidin’ on cross-country day. Stay on the fuzzy part, right?
The Ultra Non-Slip pad has been fully redesigned (I’ve heard good things in this regard) and is perforated for ventilation and forms right to your horses back. It has rolled binding around the edge so it won’t chafe (I’m always so worried about that kind of thing). And after it gets all sweaty and nasty on cross-country you can chuck it in the washer. Now that’s my kind of maintenance.
To enter the giveaway just leave a comment below and visit the Nunn Finer website. You have until midnight tonight. Ready? Go!
Update: Congratulations to our winner Mia S. for winning the newly designed Nunn Finer Ultra No-Slip pad. Congrats!

This looks like a great product! Saddle slipping has always been a challenge for my bog boy.
31 March 2010 | Helen Morris Said:
I love Nunn Finer! My cross country saddle always slips around, it fits my mare and I have a breastplate and tighten my girth. but by the end of a course it is always discombobulated. this looks like a great item!
31 March 2010 | Jackie Gilbert Said:
Nunn Finer and Bit of Britain are my favorite eventing outfitters! For years I have used a sheet of that plastic drawer liner for a non slip pad… probably not very effective. As I move up to prelim this year I would love to have an idem like this to prevent slipping.
31 March 2010 | Amelia Mair Said:
my saddle was actually slipping around a little yesterday so this comes at a great time!! it looks like an awesome product!! =]
31 March 2010 | Adam Diehl Said:
Nunn Finer does indeed make great stuff! With my round-bodied Arabian mare, keeping the saddle to stay in place is a constant challenge. I too have a saddle that fits her beautifully, cinch down the girth until there’s no doubt and use a breast plate (attached to the billets no less, which supposedly adds more lateral stability than attaching to the dees) and the saddle STILL insists on slipping and sliding around from time to time! I’m thinking this pad might be just the thing!
31 March 2010 | Brianna Said:
I would love to have this saddle pad to use on the round, mutton-withered QH/Arab I ride! We have been having slippage issues, ugh.
I like Nunn Finer because I feel like as a company they work hard to be involved in the eventing community – discounts for USEA or USPC membership, sponsorships, and the like. And I have had my eye on their Figure 8 bridle for awhile now!

Love Nunn Finer products… always quality stuff! They really know Eventers and what we need out there!
31 March 2010 | Rachel B Said:
I LOVE Nunn Finer/BoB! I love seeing John Nunn at events, and giving discounts to loyal eventers and pony clubbers. Their whole family of websites is great- I have been getting Tack of the Day emails since they started up and gotten some really great steals! Eventing isn’t cheap but Nunn Finer makes it better, when I buy something from them I know it will last! All my jumping tack is from them, so I’d love to add the no-slip pad to my gear. I used to have one but it ripped! The re-designed pads look a lot sturdier, and would be a great addition to my tack this season. Thanks for a great giveaway!
31 March 2010 | Julie H Said:
I love all the Nunn Finer products and Bit of Britian too! I really love the way they support the eventing community. I would love to try out this new redesigned pad on my super round gelding!

I have heard great things about Nun Finer products, although I have never had any of my own! A product like this is important to have in the tack room, and it sounds like its super easy to care for too!

I just heard of this new design last week…what perfect timing!
31 March 2010 | Alysa Said:
I love BoB and Nunn Finer products. The non-slip pads are second to none! I use them in “layers” to hold everything in place. I’m sure this pad will become a favorite too!
31 March 2010 | LisaB Said:
Oh! Mr. Sausage Body would love this!
31 March 2010 | BevC Said:
I’m always in need of a non slip pad! I have no wither, round horses!

I love Nunn Finer! Such great quality at affordable prices. This product looks like another win for eventers and other performance disciplines alike!
31 March 2010 | Sara M Said:
Sticky pads are GREAT! I ride a very round quarter horse and use a sticky/no-slip pad every time.
31 March 2010 | Karen Briggs Said:
I would love one of these. I have what may possibly be the world’s only easy-keeping Thoroughbred, who just longed today for the first time since mid-November. To say he is round and pudgy and out of shape is an understatement. A pad like this would be exceptionally helpful during our long, slow conditioning process!
31 March 2010 | Mia Sendlakowski Said:
I have the old one and I like it but it’s getting worn after 10 years. I was just thinking it was time to look into a new one. Can’t wait to try the new design!
31 March 2010 | Melissa W. Said:
These are great for those long days of trail riding! Six hours under the saddle – this has to be a back saver for my boy. Hope to win one

I love the fact that this can go straight into the washing machine!!!!
31 March 2010 | Alyssa Said:
Ahhh these look so neat! My breastplate no longer fits my growing 4 year old… this could be a solution. Plus, its low maintenance making it even better.
Nun Finer products are always worth it, mainly because the quality is fantastic.

Nunn Finer products are made for eventers and last forever. Love all of their stuff. Was just shopping for a breastplate today so that pad would come in handy.

I am excited about this product! I LOVE Nunn Finer products, especially for cross country. I use my Nunn Finer breastplate to keep my saddle in place on my very round Irish mare
I prefer to use Nunn Finer square pads for cross country, and this new pad is the perfect, low-maintanance match to keep everything secure for a great ride!
